I was born in a crowed public hospital in the midst of a blue monsoon in Colombo, Sri Lanaka. When I was old enough to understand the ravages of the political situation in my country, I also understood the futilty in trying to change it. We left that country and its tea-bush hills in 1999. It was snowing when I stepped out of the airport in Canada. In high-school, I published articles in the weekly newspaper and became a radio DJ on the first high-school radio station in Ontario. On the show I reviewed movies and offered various opinions of pop-culture. I have directed two amature films, one of which I also scripted. I am currently in University doing a degree in Creative Writing. I tend to smile at random moments for no discernible reason.
